Mixology meets candles
I, like many others, love a good cocktail—the way flavours and colour blend together to create something special, the experience of sipping on a beautifully crafted drink, the connotations we each have with certain drinks and past memories.
At the same time, I've always leaned towards a cosy night in, surrounded by candle light, watching my favourite show in the comfort of my home.
I wanted to bring these two passions together, and so, I created Astrid's Candle Bar.

What I make
I make candles that look like well known cocktails as accurately and realistically as possible, as well as trying to match the smell, minus the scent of alcohol.
Each accessory to the drinks are made all from a combination of soy and paraffin wax (same as the main candle body) to create a safe, minimalist, yet accurate cocktail candle.

Why I do it
To put it simply, I love candles and the atmosphere they create. I also love cocktails because of the diversity in colour, appearance, and taste.
I wanted to make and share something that involves my passion for candle creation, and live out my fantasy of being a cocktail mixologist in an abstract setting, without the worry of having too much to drink.

The future
This is just the beginning, my goal is to eventually have a broad menu of well known and not so known cocktails in all different categories, whilst staying true to my vision of them all having their corresponding glass, look, and smell.
Also to expand into other alcoholic drinks like an Old Fashioned, and different wines for example. But only time will tell.

So who am I?
Hello, I'm Astrid (surprising right?)
I'm an autistic trans woman who has always wanted to create something meaningful and share it with others. Candles have always been a source of comfort and joy for me, so I thought, why not combine them with one of my favourite social activities.
I simply want to create something meaningful to me and hopefully to others. I have a lot planned for Astrid's Candle Bar, and hopefully I'll be able to bring my visions to life with your support.
Aside from making candles, I love spending time in nature pondering the secrets of the universe, cooking, and trying new things to experience life to the fullest.
